How affiliate links work on our site

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how affiliate links work:

1. We review a projector and decide it’s worth recommending.
2. We include a link to where you can buy it (usually Amazon or another trusted retailer).
3. That link contains a special tracking code (e.g., ?tag=juhain-20).
4. If you click that link and make a purchase, the retailer credits us with a small referral commission.
5. You pay exactly the same price as if you’d gone directly to the retailer.

We use Amazon Associates as our primary affiliate program, along with a few other trusted partners.

Our commitment to you

This is the most important part of our disclosure:

We’ve turned down free review units from manufacturers who wanted guaranteed positive coverage. We’ve also removed products from our guides when they were discontinued or when better options became available — regardless of our affiliate relationship with them.

Which affiliate programs we participate in

We currently participate in the following affiliate programs:

• Amazon Associates — our primary program. We link to projectors, screens, mounts, and accessories available on Amazon.
• Best Buy — for select projector models and electronics.
• B&H Photo Video — for specialty A/V equipment and professional-grade projectors.

We only partner with retailers we trust and have personally used. We never link to sketchy or unknown sellers.

Does it cost you extra?

No. Never. You pay the exact same price whether you use our affiliate link or go directly to the retailer.

The retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee — it comes out of their marketing budget, not your pocket. Think of it as a “finders fee” for sending you their way.

How we decide what to recommend

Our recommendation process is driven by data, testing, and reader needs — not by commission rates or affiliate partnerships.

Our process:

• Research: We analyze manufacturer specs, independent lab tests, and user reviews.
• Testing: Where possible, we test projectors in real-world conditions — different lighting, room sizes, and content types.
